Coach Orlando “O” McCorvey is an assistant coach at ASA College in Miami, FL.
Previously he spent the past 7 seasons as the varsity boys’ basketball coach at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland where he lead the Eagles on an incredible journey, culminating in an Elite Eight appearance in the Florida State Tournament and two appearances in the Big 8.
In Coach O’s seven seasons, Douglas compiled a record of 78-63. Coach O takes great pride in honing his players’ skills and personal character, while helping them achieve their goals on and off the court.
Before becoming the head coach at Douglas, where he played from 1998-2002, Coach O served thee seasons as an assistant coach for the Broward College Seahawks and three years as an assistant at American Heritage Plantation.
Coach O has coached players who have played at the next level including Division 1 players such as point guard Kenny Boynton (University of Florida) and Raymond Taylor (Florida Atlantic University) and Division III forward, Zach Kencht (Susquehanna University), William Young (Messiah College), Tyrese Smith (Northern Vermont University).
